Dear ABC Family,

You created this space. You green lit a project that was daring and unique and needed and relevant. You found writers and a cast that make acting, not seem like acting. Your writing and your cast make it seem like life. Our life. You offered a dynamic that touches teens in a meaningful way that not  a lot of other shows do. You gave reason to open a dialog, that with the guidance of experts, allows the viewers of HUGE the ability to look at their life and live the full of it.

We know it is your job to look at the numbers. Sitting in your offices, in Los Angeles, that is what you do. But it is summer, and we’re outside and we’re off with our friends and we’re working to save up just a little bit more before we head off to school and we need this space. We need to see characters on tv that portray our reality and our stories and our size and our heart. You did this thing and it is fresh and brave and it is the sound of our voice coming back to us through the tv screen. And you have us hooked.

So this week? Forget the numbers because we all DVR the show and watch it when our HUGE lives allow us to. So this week, stop counting numbers and start counting voices. Here are your first five.

Don’t quit on us. If you are uncertain of your convictions, then have the strength of ours.

I think the concept of the show is something that nobody has ever considered to put on television before. It is different than everything else we see on television, and it is real. Real people, with real lives, who have real feelings, real goals, desires, and needs. Just like any other human being. I think you have come up with something genius.  -Lizzy

HUGE needs to continue because no one else has gone this far. No one has taken a chance or risk and created something so deep and personal about this ongoing issue. -Ashleigh

I think HUGE is a breakthrough show because it is showing everyone that all people are humans and everyone has feelings and everyone goes through similar situations. Once people forget about looks, the see how similar we can be. -Caitlin H

The message [of HUGE] is still strong. HUGE is important to teens everywhere. It shows normal looking teenages and real teen issues that bigger kids have such as relationships/sexuality, eating, and making friends. -Caitlin S
